The Adamsynths™ Warthog is an analog modular synthesizer equipped with Total Recall technology. It is the first analog modular synthesizer in the world to feature full patch memory and recall.
And yes. This is not a digital platform. Not a virtual modular synthesizer. This is a 100% analog sound engine, Eurorack format, plug & play system that redefines what modular synthesis can be.

What does this mean in practice?
Warthog modules are freely swappable, reconfigurable, and the system is fully expandable. You can build the exact setup that fits your creative vision.
But what truly sets it apart is that Warthog can store:
- the position of every knob and switch,
- the current state of all modules,
- snapshots,
- and – perhaps most impressively – the entire patch routing configuration, including all audio, CV, GATE, and other control signal connections between modules.
This is not just an analog synthesizer. It’s a memory-enabled system that allows you to return, recreate, evolve, and experiment – without compromise.
W2W – Patch Sharing, Anywhere in the World
Warthog doesn’t just remember – it connects. The W2W (Warthog to Warthog) feature allows users to share their patches with each other – whether between two systems in the same studio or across continents.
Sharing happens via internet connection, and enables:
- full patch export and import,
- sharing of presets, snapshots, and routing configurations,
- creative exchange within the Warthog community.
The settings saved by the Central Unit are available in file format, making them easy to transfer, archive, or recreate. W2W opens a new dimension of creative collaboration and community-driven sound design.
Adamsynths™ Warthog – Configuration Overview
This complete modular system combines analog sound generation with Total Recall technology to elevate your creative workflow. The configuration includes:
- 3× Oscillator modules – Analog VCO / LFO, sub oscillators, CV mixers
- 2× Multimode VCF & VCA modules – 4PLP, 2PLP, 2PBP, 2PHP, Q-compensation, audio/CV mixer
- 2× Dual VC ENV modules – ADSR + DADSR, CV-controllable
- 1× Modulation Tools module – Sync LFO, Noise, Sample & Hold, VC Glide, VCA & Inverter / Ring Modulator
- 1× Matrix 428 module – Pre-configured patch routing
- 1× Mixbooth module – Audio mixer with Aux and monitor functions
- 1× Multiples 16 module – Passive 4-input, 12-output multiples
- 1× Central Unit module – Patch memory, snapshot management, routing recall
- 1× Mood Wheels module – Dual wooden control wheels for snapshot morphing
- 1× Warthog Cabinet – Includes ASR-PSU, ASR-RAILS, and Outboard connectivity
The system includes three analog Oscillators, each capable of operating in both VCO and LFO modes. Every oscillator features a built-in sub oscillator and CV mixer, allowing for rich modulation right from the core.
Filtering and amplification are handled by two Multimode VCF & VCA modules. Four filter modes are available: 4PLP, 2PLP, 2PBP, and 2PHP. Each module includes adjustable Q-compensation and an integrated audio/CV mixer for precise and flexible sound shaping.
Dynamic control is provided by two Dual VC ENV modules. Each includes a CV-controllable ADSR and a DADSR envelope generator, enabling detailed and nuanced temporal shaping.
All modulation tools are concentrated in a single Modulation Tools module. It includes a Sync LFO, noise generator, Sample & Hold circuit, VC Glide function, and a VCA & Inverter unit that can also function as a ring modulator.
The Matrix 428 module allows for pre-configured patch routing. This means you don’t have to re-cable the system every time – you can switch routings within a saved patch, as if you were physically moving cables during a live performance, only faster and more precisely.
The Mixbooth is a clean, intuitive audio mixer with Aux channels and monitoring functionality – ideal for both studio work and live performance.
The Heart of the System: Central Unit & Mood Wheels
The Warthog system is powered by two essential modules: the Central Unit and the Mood Wheels.
The Central Unit is the brain of the system – it handles patch saving and recall, module state management, and snapshot control. As the core of the Total Recall technology, it ensures that every setting – from knob positions and switch states to module configurations and patch routings – can be saved and recalled at any time. It also enables fast snapshot switching, even during live performance.
The Mood Wheels module features two large wooden control wheels that are both aesthetic and functional. Each wheel position can trigger different snapshots, enabling sound morphing – smooth transitions between different settings – and intuitive real-time modulation during performance.
Together, the Mood Wheels and Central Unit make Warthog not only memory-capable, but responsive and dynamic, adapting in real time to the performer’s intent.
Warthog’s Cabinet – More Than Just a Rack
The Warthog’s Cabinet is not just a frame – it’s the physical and technical foundation of the system. Its unique, robust design gives the instrument character, while inside it houses a custom-designed bus system (AS-RAILS) and a high-performance power supply (AS-PSU) – both essential for the Total Recall technology to function.
This internal architecture allows Warthog modules to communicate with each other and store/recall all settings – from patch routing to knob positions.
Due to the nature of Total Recall, Warthog modules are not compatible with generic Eurorack cases – the specialized internal bus and power system make the Warthog Cabinet an essential part of the ecosystem.
At the same time, the Warthog’s Cabinet fully supports standard Eurorack modules in terms of power delivery, allowing you to integrate third-party modules freely – in the spirit of creative freedom.
This is not just a box. It’s the platform that makes Warthog truly remember – and stay open to new ideas.
